Fun Summer Dress Finds

By Carrie Gress & Noelle Mering

Warm weather and longer days have us changing over our closets and thinking about summer wardrobes. One of the best things about current fashion trends are the longer hems and feminine lines and details. Here are a few of our favorite dress finds to celebrate summer.

The Maren Tiered Dress at Anthropologie

Anthrolopologie is always a favorite (I’m particularly fond of the “sale” room). This dress feels fun and informal, but could easily be worn into the evening.

The Eugenie dress at Anthropologie

Unless you are going to a wedding, it is hard to go wrong with white.

Polly jersey midi dress from Boden

Boden is my new favorite go-to place to shop. I purchased two dresses from them in the winter, and was impressed with the attention to detail and overall quality.

This black dress looks perfect for summer travel. Sneakers in the day time, and summer sandals for evening. Made of 95% viscose 5% elastane and machine washable, it is perfect for pulling out of a suitcase to dress at moment’s notice.

The Clarissa Jumpsuit at Boden

We cheated a bit with this one since it isn’t a dress, but it looks both elegant and comfortable. I love the high neck with a roll collar. Would work perfectly for work, or an evening out. I also really appreciate the pockets - which is another feature that is making a comeback.

The Dauphine at Sézane

French label Sézane is a master of simple chic. I love that this dress is feminine, yet with tailored details, and is not overly-sweet. Wearable with flat sandals for day or evening.

The Addison at Gal Meets Glam

Gal Meets Glam is a new line by Julia Engle whose blog we have featured here at Helena Daily.

The GMG designs harken back to a different era, but with contemporary twists. This ice-blue dress is another great option that moves easily from work to wedding.

The Dree dress at DÔEN

DÔEN is so good at romantic, vintage-feel pieces that are still elevated and modern. This dress looks like “woman” to me. Little details keep it smart, like a tie in the back to customize the waistline. The all cotton composition makes it a good summer choice.

Midi wrap dress in chambray at J. Crew

This dress is all about the styling. Pair it with sneakers or strappy sandals, cool sunnies and you’re set. I love that it’s feminine, but with a fabric that keeps it from taking itself too seriously.
